legal ways that US citizens can continue to enjoy online gambling

On Friday 13th October 2006 George W. Bush signed legislation to help protect U.S. ports against September 11 style attacks. Stuck on the same bill were completely unrelated measures designed to restrict online gambling activities in the United States. The bad news is that this kind of abuse of democratic process is a fact of life in post 9-11 America. The good news is that we don't have to take it. Find out all about the new law and how to beat it!
The Federal authorities have 270 days from Oct 13th 2006 to come up with regulations to make the gambling ban stick - so check back to keep updated -

25 October 2006: Fox News reports - "Online Gambling Ban Won't Work"
Who is the gambling ban aimed at?
The law is not aimed at the individual internet gambler, but at the financial institutions that transfer wagers to gambling sites.
Trying to ban every web casino (even those based outside the US) and pursue every single US citizen that
gambles online would be an impossible task. The law doesn't aim to do that.
internet gambling ban target
The law targets the banks and credit card companies by making it illegal for them to transfer funds to internet gambling companies overseas. The US government thinks this makes it impossible for US citizens to bet online. For an in depth legal view click here.
The US government is wrong - and you can easily and legally beat the ban.
US online gamblers are NOT being directly targeted by this law.
Money always finds a way.
The way to beat the new law is pretty simple and has been around for some time - you simply use an intermediary account to transfer your funds to your online casino. Many people have used these payment options for years - as a way of keeping their web purchase habits private or simply to keep tabs on a separate account. money finds a way
As the non-US based intermediary account is not a gambling organization the transfer to it is legal and you can then use these funds for whatever purpose you like. Another legal view here
Bank or Credit card funds the intermediary account used for online gaming.
Casino sites explain transfer options and some even incentivize the system!
Which casinos or poker rooms accept US customers after the ban?
Many online casinos and poker rooms have gone "legit" with their US operations and have kicked out US players and banned further US memberships. Many internet gambling companies haven't set up or won't allow payments through intermediary accounts . But when one door shuts another door opens! online casinos and poker rooms
The good news is that there are dozens of internationally based internet casinos and poker rooms that are falling over themselves to sign up new US players and many of them are offering substantial sign up bonuses as well!
You can keep on gambling despite the internet gambling ban
Join bonuses and a variety of easy money transfer options are available
Is the intermediary account secure and easy to set up?
The security of these internationally based payment methods is as high as your online bank transfers or credit card purchases. Check them out to satisfy yourselves of their credentials. It's worth mentioning that none of them seem to be trumpeting the fact that their services offer an easy way around the legislation - probably because keeping quiet about this intermediary accounts
gaping loophole is best for their interests!
We have included the logos of a range of intermediate account providers below. Find the best option for yourself after you have located a ban busting casino or poker room - as some are offering incentives towards the cost of using a certain payment method.
Intermediary accounts are secure, easy to set up and many are incentivized
Check the ban busting casino links on the right for full details of each option
Examples of organisations that provide facilities for funding payments to third parties are:
(N.B. This option list isn't exhaustive and won't apply to all casinos. The inclusion of organisational logos here is purely for demostration purposes. Some transfer companies have changed their transfer rules for US customers - so check the suitability of any selected payment method at the time of sign-up. We are not claiming that any of these services is deliberately seeking to circumvent US law)
Neteller to withdraw services for US customers?

Bad news for US customers with Neteller accounts - the company has announced plans to restrict gambling sites from taking payments from US customers. To quote their October 19th Press Release:
"NETELLER, a company registered outside the US, will comply with the Act ... as if it were subject to the Act's jurisdiction"

internet gambling ban target
The press release says that NETELLER are conducting their own review to figure out their obligations and will introduce these restrictions in advance of those issued by the Federal authorities responsible for cooking up measures to make the ban stick. When will all of this happen? Not just yet by the look of it.
"in the interim,
(while they carry out their review and wait for rules) US-resident customers are able to use the NETELLER service as normal" (email us your experiences guys).
This action may seem wierd, but NETELLER make most of their money from non-gambling transactions and clearly don't fancy being targeted by the enforcement regulations. We should emphasize that NETELLER say US customers will always be able to withdraw any funds that they hold in a NETELLER account at anytime. For the full release click here

We recommend finding an alternative account option now to avoid problems
Fox News Reports - "Online Gambling Ban Won't Work"

Well, this is a breath of fresh air - a mainstream news organisation that finally wants to tell it like it is rather than peddling the same old "sky is falling" hysteria that we've all had to listen to up until now. In fact we couldn't have written this better ourselves. Let's face it guys, Fox aren't exactly famous for being anti-establishement - so if they say the ban

won't work it's probably safe to assume it's toast.
"Gamblers may look over their shoulder now, but experts say a new Internet gambling ban won't keep bettors from ponying up, just turn them on to overseas payment services out of the law's reach." This article is required reading for anyone who has seen this site and thought - "Nah, it can't be that easy, can it?" Oh yes it can guys. For the full article click here

"The U.S. government has no authority over processors like Neteller"
Why are you providing this information?   How can I become anonymous online?
We're setting this site up primarily because this law is anti-American and an
offense to our freedom.
anti-ban information As we've explained, the law targets the financial institutions rather than the individual. That said, the practice of anonymous internet

Americans have a tradition of defeating unjust laws by challenging them and/or ignoring them. By getting the information out on how to beat the ban, we plan to bust it.
It's a long time since so much nonsense has been talked about a new law - once again most of the media seems to be buying and recycling the headline rather than the facts. The US based internet gambler is as free to indulge in online casinos or poker as ever - they just can't use their credit cards or bank transfers to fund the activity directly. By using an intermediary payment system and going to the right online casino it really is business as usual!
All those in the know are already doing this.
We will be introducing more features to the site soon. In the meantime, if you have any comments or suggestions please send them to info@gamblingbanbusters.com.

internet gambling in the US was always a grey area even before this ban.
Some online gamblers looking for additional assurance that their online activities are private make use of software that hides their IP address. This software makes you invisible online by hiding your IP address - making it impossible for others to track your location, online activities, launch identity theft attacks or get access to your files.

Check out this exposé on YouTube - in 4 minutes you'll see proof that this "crusade for family" values is just a dirty little piece of protectionist law launched on behalf of Vegas and the horse racing bookmakers in return for campaign bucks.

Good reasons to bust this ban

1/. Whether you're pro-gambling or anti-gambling, you have to admit that piggybacking the new legislation on the back of unrelated security laws is anti-democratic. If you want us to respect laws - make them properly!
2/. This law isn't about a moral position - if it was then track betting, state lotteries and licensed casinos would all be banned too.
3/. The anti online gambling legislation is anti women and the disabled - and any social groups who prefer to indulge their passtime outside of casinos.
4/. This law will only be effective at driving all online gambling beyond the checks and controls of the U.S.
5/. There are tax dollars to be made out of licensed internet gambling - and only regulatory costs in a ban.

"So I can legally buy a gun for whatever purpose I want (high school massacres etc..) but I can't play poker online? This law is total bs - write to your representatives - it's time they realized that the people that voted for them don't want this anti-gambling law"

"WMDs were bull, Osama and Saddam being best buds turned out to be bull - now the neo-cons tag the web gambling ban onto security legislation? Give me a break! This is one law they can stick where the sun don't shine!"
